valley of the rogue state park

after a long day of riding, we finally made it to our night destination just between I5 and the rogue river. The morning started with sunning ourselves like meercats while enjoying delicious French pressed coffee. Erin relished how awesomely hard core it is to ride to the top of Crater Lake. And then we were off on an epic descent along highway 62. This road wound along the Rouge River and we rode through all manner of evergreens. we decided to stop in shady cove for lunch on the rogue river. Starla and Erin enjoyed an afternoon nap in the grass while Julia knitted some more of her project. we started off again, with the gold hills on our minds. after taking an amazing 7 mile detour on a winding back country road and the first sign of a tailwind our whole trip we came to Gold Hill. We gathered supplies for dinner and came to our campsite. We will now make ourselves ready for shut eye.

  2. Words can hardly describe how hungry we are in this picture. One thing we did the whole trip was eat until near explosion - and then eat a little more.
