Tijuana critical mass
The Tijuana CM was such a fun and friendly time. The participants were polite and completely stoked to be riding. A young man was carrying a boom-box in a trailer that played dance hits from the '90s. The ride paused occasionally to keep the group together.

The least fun part of the ride was being treated suspiciously by border patrol upon my return to the US.

Mt. Palomar results
Average temperature was 95.3 F, but the ride started out at 105 F and got gradually cooler as we climbed. This was an adventure for which I was not wholly prepared. For the first time in my life I got heat stroke (less than fun) and I was not able to finish the climb (0.7 miles and 400 ft of elevation short). I will have a rematch with the Mountain Palomar when the weather is a little cooler so that heat stroke won't be an issue.
